2011 has been a dream come true in many ways including the release of my debut novel with Harlequin Romantic Suspense. I feel beyond privileged to be working with a publishing house where so many great authors first started their careers. I can still remember reading Linda Howard’s Diamond Bay (back when the HRS line was still Intimate Moments) and immediately launching a mission to find the previous book, Midnight Rainbow. Those two books are still on my “keeper shelves,” and I aspire to be an author on one of your keeper shelves someday, too!
My debut HRS, DANGEROUS TO HER, is available August 23, 2011. Dom and Mattie’s story is particularly special to me because I was able to use my experiences as a criminal prosecutor to add authenticity to the courtroom settings. Plus, I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of young lovers who connect a little too early and are torn apart, but then, after growing and living and learning what really matters to them, are able to reunite so that their bond is not just stronger, but unbreakable.
I hope you enjoy Dom and Mattie’s story. Please check out my other books, as well. My first romantic suspense single title comes out with HQN in April 2012. SHADES OF DESIRE is about a photographer who goes blind, but only after she’s taken photos of something she shouldn’t have. It’s up to Special Agent Liam “Mac” McKenzie to keep her safe, but in doing so he risks losing his heart to this special woman.
