It’s a great pleasure for me to be writing for Silhouette Intimate Moments and also, to do something as new as DARKNESS CALLS - a very dark and edgy vampire novel!
Some people have asked, “Why a vampire book?” I’ve been in love with vampires and other creatures of the night since I was a kid. My mother, sister and I would spend hours on a rainy weekend, huddled under a blanket, watching old black and white horror movies.
I always felt sorry for vampires in particular since they had known what it was like to be human and now had eternal life, but eternal life has many burdens. The pain of losing all that is familiar and loved as time passes you by was something that always intrigued me. Not to mention that there is something sensual about vampires that we all love. That fascination continued over the years and the tug to try my hand at something with a vampire - DARKNESS CALLS — a dark, sexy vampire who has experienced the pain of loss and wants nothing to do with humans. After all, humans are born to die. And then he meets a woman who makes him yearn for a normal life. A life filled with love.
