Hello Readers,
I can’t believe it’s November already. Hallowe’en is over, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and holiday chaos will descend shortly after that.
It’s a wonderfully exciting time of year with so much to look forward to. One of the things I do NOT look forward to is 6:00 am hockey practice.
I’m not much of a morning person to begin with and having to get up while it’s still dark outside to stand around a cold arena is not my idea of fun. But my seven year-old son loves it. He loves to skate and practice the drills, to put on that shirt with number nine on the back and know he’s part of a team. And, I have to admit, his enthusiasm is contagious.
I watch him on the ice and marvel at the joy on his face because he’s found something he really enjoys. And I realize how lucky I am to have found the same thing with my writing.
For as long as I can remember, it was my dream to become a published author. After I sold my first book, that dream grew—to publish a second book, then a third, and so on. This month, my sixth book, DANGEROUS PASSIONS, is available from Silhouette Intimate Moments.
My son is still looking to score his first goal. So when we head out to his next hockey game, I’ll tell him what I told myself for so many years: practice, try hard, and dream big. And have fun.
I hope all of you keep reading, keep dreaming, and enjoy!
Brenda
